Project Description

The completed scheme comprises an open plan office space, individual offices and meeting rooms, toilet facilities, and a staff canteen.

The building is comprised of a steel frame with facing brickwork and rainscreen cladding. The enabling works phase to the project was complex, involving the installation of sheet piling, followed by significant excavations to create space for the new build. This was followed by diversion works to existing services, and the installation of a new attenuation system.

Throughout the construction process, client employees occupied areas directly adjacent to the site, including where roof and demolition works were taking place. We therefore instigated control and protection measures to mitigate the risks posed. These included the formation of a robust hoarding. As testament to our approach, the building remained fully operational and watertight throughout the works. We incorporated numerous client variations into the build process, including the addition of a full commercial kitchen and canteen. We were able to accommodate these changes and deliver all operational areas of the scheme on time.
