A special guest has dropped into Scotsdales at Great Shelford ahead of his official arrival on Saturday the 18th of November.
Santa took a break from his very busy schedule in the run up to Christmas, to give a helping hand to the Barnes Construction team, who are carrying out the development work that is ongoing at the popular garden centre.
Currently, the construction of a new Planteria is well underway, making way for a purpose-built garden care shop and weatherproof plants department. Santa is pictured with Ben Rayner, Scotsdales’ FD, and son of the founder, David Rayner, alongside members of the project team, in front of the new development.
“Due to the ongoing construction work, it isn’t possible for me to have my usual annual procession on the 18th of November. However, I am very excited that when I do arrive at Scotsdales, it will still be a very jolly festive event where I will be joined by a few other family favourites for all the girls and boys, before I take up residency in my Toy Workshop until Christmas Eve.
“In the run up to Christmas, there will be lots of other activities that will appeal to visitors whatever age they might be. From the exciting Christmas trail with chocolatey prizes, the breathtaking Christmas displays and incredible seasonal offers, to the amazing festive menu available in the cafe, Scotsdales will definitely be putting the ‘Ho Ho Ho’ into Christmas!
“I am looking forward to meeting all the good boys and girls in the area who will be letting me know what is at the top of their Christmas List, as well as meeting everyone’s favourite Ice Queen and a few other special guests on the day.”
(Bookings for Santa’s grotto are online only at Great Shelford, there will be a walk-in only grotto available at the Horningsea store every weekend in December, and weekdays leading up to Christmas. For more info, please visit www.scotsdales.com)
