THE PROJECT COMPRISED OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF A THREE STOREY 60 BEDROOM PREMIER INN HOTEL INCLUDING A WHITBREAD ‘THYME’ RESTAURANT FACILITY.
The accommodation within the new hotel comprised of 60 ensuite bedrooms, ‘Thyme’ restaurant with kitchen and WC’s, lift, roof-top plant enclosure, stair core, external fire escape, corridors, laundry rooms and staff areas.
The building was constructed using CFA piles, a steel frame ground floor area and steel transfer deck with a two storey timber frame structure above. The ground floor area contained the ‘Thyme’ restaurant along with bedroom accommodation, the upper floors were solely bedroom and back of house areas. The external envelope of the building was finished with brickwork and aluminium windows. External works comprised of entrance ramp and steps and a large car park to the rear.
