THE PROJECT COMPRISED OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW HIGH SCHOOL BUILDING INCORPORATING CLASSROOMS, SCIENCE LABORATORIES, FOOD TECHNOLOGY ROOMS, A MUSIC SUITE AND PERFORMING ARTS CENTRE, SCHOOL HALL TOGETHER WITH STAFF ADMINISTRATION AREAS. THE PROJECT WAS PROCURED VIA AN NEC PARTNERING CONTRACT UNDER A FRAMEWORK ARRANGEMENT
The building was constructed using a two storey post tensioned concrete frame structure with a lightweight steel roof structure finished with an ETFE foil roof membrane to the central atrium. Externally, the building envelope was formed with a combination of decorative blockwork, through coloured render, rainscreen cladding and aluminium curtain walling. The project also included the construction of new hard play areas in addition to drainage and services installations
