THE PROJECT COMPRISED OF THE PHASE 3 EXTENSION TO THE NEW HIGH SCHOOL BUILDING TOGETHER WITH THE CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW SPORTS HALL FACILITY.
The new extension included the provision of 11 new classrooms, resource and office areas and an extension to the central atrium. The new Sports Hall facility included the provision of a new 4 Court sized hall together with storage and changing facilities.
The Classroom Block extension was constructed using a single storey steel framed structure clad with an insulated curved cladding type roof finish. The external envelope of the building was constructed using a combination of decorative facing blockwork, through colour render and insulated composite cladding. Internally, educational type finishes and fittings were provided.
The Sports Hall building was constructed using a single storey steel framed structure clad with an insulated curved cladding type roof finish. The external envelope of the building was constructed using a combination of decorative facing blockwork and insulated composite cladding. The Changing facilities element of the new building were constructed within a traditional single storey structure with a rendered blockwork external masonry finish. Internally, a specialist sports floor finish was installed together with sports equipment.
Externally, new pavings, drainage and a MUGA pitch were provided.
